Personal Boasting (This Is Rare, Kids, So Enjoy It!)

     Okay, so we just took the Mock TAKS tests a few weeks ago. (To find out what TAKS are, read one of my rants in a previous post, self titled.) There are 141 students in my freshman class (I know, a LOT right? ;P) So anyways, about a week after the tests, everyone got their semester scores back to find out their class rank. I was one of the people who hadn't gotten theirs yet. I had to listen to all my friends talk about "I got 4th!" or "8th", "11th", "14th", "16th", and all I could think about was where my stupid scores had to be.

     So a few days later I finally have the ambition to get up and do something about my "lost" scores, and asked my mom if she knew where they were. As usual, she did. She knew about them, but thought were just scores (which I had already seen), and didn't throw them away, but put them in a random place, all to be forgotten. I told my mom that my rank was on there, so she immediately went to look for it.

     Well, about an hour later, she comes back with a smiling face. She shows me the paper, I look at it, and saw that I ranked 10th place, out of all 141 students! I was SO ecstatic. I have a story that ties to this, but I shall write it on a later date, because I have homework to do.
