TAKS, School, And All That Jazz

     So, contrary to many schools, our school actually does things right and takes our semester exams DURING the semester, and not AFTER we get back, after you forget everything you've learned over break. But, our school decides it doesn't wanna be the odd ball out, and we decide to have Mock TAKS testing, to prepare us for the real TAKS test in a few months. Incase you don't know, TAKS (Texas Assessment Of Knowledge and Skills) is a test you take for certain subjects in the Spring every year, apparently saying whether you learned anything all year or not. If you don't do well on the test, EVEN if you have an A+ in that class, you apparently didn't learn anything ALL year, and you can't move on to the next grade. I know, dumb, right? Anways, The final day was today, and so I'm so happy that's over with. But, even though that's over, I still have to take a Biology quiz tomorrow. *ugh*

     Alright, enough ranting. SOME good thing did happen in school today! First off, even though I'm in 9th grade, which is when you're supposed to be taking Algebra 1 in Texas, but I already took Algebra. So I'm in Geometry this year (Nerd, I know. XP). The HONORS Geometry at that. It's REALLY easy compared to Algebra (most of the time). But anyways, out of the two Honors Geometry classes, I got the HIGHEST grade on a quiz we took. Out of BOTH classes! :D I felt proud of myself.

     Not much else has been happening lately... But that's what happens to a kid with no life; however, I might be going to a friend's house on Saturday... That counts. :)...
